IMPACTO Latin News is the award-winning, weekly New York newspaper founded in 1967 by the late Carlos G. Carrillo, a key pioneer in Hispanic print media and the founder of the NAHP (National Association of Hispanic Publishers) and the Hispanic Media Council. Mr. Carrillo, a native of Argentina started the newspaper always with the intention to serve all the major Latino communities of New York. Over the years, he succeeded in building a trusting and loyal readership within not only the New York Argentine community, but also a strong following among Dominicans, Ecuadorians, Mexicans and other smaller Latin American Latinos not served as effectively by the other Spanish language newspapers in New York.
